Southern Warbirds was established in 2007 to offer warbird adventure flights in aircraft types not offered before in Adelaide. The three owners of Southern Warbirds are all aircraft owners and enthusiasts. We are all highly qualified pilots. Our combined flying experience exceeds 50 years. All of our adventure pilots are fully qualified Commercial Pilots, most also being fully qualified Flying Instructors.

Our Chief Pilot is David Forsyth, joint owner and director. David is also owner of Forsyth Aviation, a flying training organisation. David is a Grade 1 flying instructor, an authorised testing officer (ATO) with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) with 25 years and many thousands of hours flying experience. He is a regular airshow display pilot and is qualified on many warbird type aircraft. He also trains others to fly various warbird types.

Our goal is simple, to provide breathtaking aeronautical experiences in an easily accessible location at a competitive price, to allow members of the public to experience the thrill we get from our own aircraft and to do so in the safest and most enjoyable way possible!
